For those who are curious: how handmade jewelry is created

Many people like to wonder how these ornaments come about. So, today I decided to tell you briefly what the jewelry's path is until it reaches your hands!

Preparation of plants

I use natural dried plants to make jewelry. Occasionally bought already pre-dried, but the largest part of the jewelry wears plants that I have collected by my own hands. They are dried in fine sand or semolina. I have to admit, my favorite part of this process is when I can finally take the plants out after several weeks of drying. It's like unwrapping presents on Christmas morning for me :)

Mold casting

Later, I put the selected plants in the selected silicone molds, pour a layer of transparent epoxy resin. Sometimes you need to layer several times. Each layer of resin dries from a day to two. These are the longest days ever, I'm always so excited to see what I've got :)

Grinding, polishing and final preparation

Finally, when the future ornaments have finally set, it's time to pull them out of the molds. Then there is LONG sanding with several sandpapers of different sharpness. Once all surface irregularities are corrected and the piece is in the desired shape, I polish it to give it the much needed shine and clarity.

When all these steps are finally done, I drill the holes, glue the hooks and attach the other parts. Finally, the jewelry is ready to please your eyes!
